These rules explain how WaterIt may be used and the responsibilities connected with care schedules, reminders, photos, sharing and backups.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service govern the use of WaterIt, provided by Akcio. By installing or using the app, you confirm that you have read these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
2. Purpose of the app
The app helps users organize plants, rooms, watering, fertilizing, seasonal schedules, reminders, care history and growth photos. It also supports postponing tasks, creating plant-care packages and optional backups.
WaterIt is an organizational tool, not professional horticultural advice. You are responsible for choosing schedules, water quantities and care suitable for each plant and its conditions.
3. User data and content
You are responsible for names, notes, schedules, photos, instructions and other content added to the app, and for having the right to use it. The app must not be used to store or share unlawful, harmful or rights-infringing content.
Core data is stored locally on the device. Akcio does not operate user accounts or a server containing users' plant databases. See the Privacy Policy for details.
4. Reminders and care decisions
Notifications depend on app and Android settings, permissions, battery-saving modes and device operation. Akcio does not guarantee that every reminder will arrive at a particular time.
Dates and information shown by the app come from user-provided data and settings. Before watering, fertilizing or taking another action, you should assess the plant's current condition.
5. Backups and Google Drive
Local and Google Drive backups are optional. Once an account is connected, the app uses only its hidden application-data folder through the limited https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata scope. A backup may contain plants, rooms, schedules, history, settings and photos. The app retains no more than the two newest cloud backups and removes older ones.
You are responsible for creating any backups you need and checking that they can be restored. Restoring a backup may replace current app data. Google Drive availability depends on Google, your account, network and device settings and is also governed by Google's terms.
6. Plant Care sharing
You may create a backup file or Plant Care package and share it with a person or app of your choice. You choose the recipient and should review the contents before sending. Once a file leaves the app, its further use depends on you, the recipient and the selected sharing service.
Importing a Plant Care package may add information to an existing database, while restoring a full backup may replace it. Read the confirmation message before proceeding.
7. Advertising and third-party services
The app may display banner ads supplied by Google AdMob. The type of ads depends on your region, settings and choices. When required by law or the platform, the app settings let you reopen advertising privacy options.
The app uses Google Play, Google Drive, Google Mobile Ads and the Google User Messaging Platform. These services operate under their own terms and policies, and Akcio does not control their continuous availability.
8. Availability and liability
The app is provided as currently available. Akcio works to keep it reliable but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, or error-free reminders, backups, imports, photos or third-party services.
To the extent permitted by law, Akcio is not liable for plant damage resulting from care decisions, data loss, missed notifications, failed backup or restore, a recipient's handling of shared data, or third-party service interruptions. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Changes, stopping use and contact
You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. Create any backup you require before removal. Akcio may update the app and these Terms; material changes will be published here with a revised date.
